I now feel like an idiot. I read this weeks class schedule on the syllabus for last week, and thought there was no class LAST Thursday, and therefore did not go.

Sorry for the unnecessary stress! I would never grade anything on the basis of group work, because when I was a student I always ended up on the short end of the stick because of other people’s participation (or lack thereof) on a project. So I vowed always to grade individuals individually. Team-related things are just for community building and friendly competition.

Oh, each of you earns your points individually. Whether or not your group performs poorly doesn’t affect your grade. I just did this to incite public shaming (did it with my other class, too) for those who aren’t performing the job of student quite as successfully as they should be.
